Press the home button – round button on the lower front and the sleep button – top right – both are real buttons briefly and the iPhone will take a picture of what you have on the screen.
I went up to the Apple store and got a Composite AV Cable set for my iPhone. Why would one want to spend $49.00 for this. That is easy, I can connect it to my AV converter and play a movie on my iPhone and Capture and save the movie on my MAC.
