iTunes 9 and applications on 3.1

There is a really neat new feature that is in part in iTunes 9 and the new iPhone 3.1 firmware.  You can capture your applications from your phone and put them in iTunes and move and arrange where your applications are on your computer and the iPhone will pick up the changes.

This one scared me at first – the iTunes applications window asks if you want to Sync the Apps.  With my experience a little before that ended up wiping out all of my music on the phone when I put a movie on I was a bit apprehensive.   It is not real clear to me yet what Sync will do.  Apple is not real clear on what will happen when using sync.

This one is OK to sync – you get a warning but what happens is the Apps on the phone end up in iTunes on the computer.  Some needs to write a complete idiots guide to what the sync setting end up doing.
