How to use your computer

A number of people I have spoken with recently are using their computer to look at things on the Internet and are able to send and receive emails. When it comes to using “gadgets” with their computer it seems people are getting lost.

I will be putting together a web site that will have available simple video instruction and tutorials on how to get various gadgets and accessories to work with your computer. The web site and the tutorials will be easy to understand. The web site will have a discussion area where people can ask questions and offer solutions. The object is to learn to use your computer for a whole lot more than just web browsing and email.

The first series will be about digital cameras. There will not be a lot about how to choose a digital camera nor will there be much about how to take digital photos. I will be starting with how to get the digital photos to your computer and how to back up your photos so if you computer fails you will not loose your photos.

The tutorials will be on line on the web site – many will be “ebooks” that contain photos, audio and video instruction which will be able to be downloaded. These “ebooks” will also be available in DVD format which you can play on your DVD player or your computer.
