I filled up my truck last week - $86.00 and had to fill it again at the end of the week $91.00 - It was clear that I had to do something different. Started looking around the web - Australia mostly and confirmed what I already knew. They have been hit with high energy price only it happened to them a couple of years ago. I began looking at transportation alternatives and came upon scooters. Some more research showed me some good brands. Scooter??? I had not even thought about that, we don;t have many of those around here. Anyway long story short I have a new way to get to work. A SYM 200HD found it on eBay, went up to Indianapolis to get it a few days ago, to my motorcycles drivers test and passed.

This thing easily goes 55 and 60 which is what is needed in this area. I actually took it 20 some miles into the city today. And I had to fill it up with gas this evening. It took 1.5 gallons - I have traveled 122 miles. That is 74 mpg. YES!!! I can live with that. I am hoping to get a dealership on this and start selling them soon. Not on eBay - direct to customers in my area.

These are far easier than motorcycles - I will be starting a scooter blog soon and will have a scooter website up soon also.

I will get some photos of it on line and over here maybe tomorrow

here is a photo of the University of Iowa windmill with no vinyl trim - here you have a black powder coated base a black wheel and tail and a yellow platform. Also shown here is the tail assembly.

University of Iowa Windmill

You can apply the vinyl so that you have a black windmill with a yellow platform and yellow blade and tail trim. It is not necessary to add the Hawkeyes name or logo. This is also true of the Nebraska Huskers windmill; you can have a red windmill with a white platform and white tail and white blade trim. Likewise the Iowa State windmill can be red with a yellow platform and yellow wheel and yellow tail trim.

I have gotten in a black and yellow University of Iowa Hawkeyes Windmill. Here are some photos - unlike the Iowa State sequence I have learned to place things in reverse order - so the here are a couple of photos of the finished Iowa Hawkeyes windmill.

Trim

You can place the vinyl trim on the blades and tail and leave it that way if you like or you can go ahead and add the college name and logo.

Tail assembly

Once you have the base together. Tighten all of the bolts - start at the platform and work down each level -Next put the tail together. Mount the wheel and place it on the stand. At this point you will have completed the assembly. You can leave the windmill like this or you can add as much of the vinyl trim as you want.
